Ann Kullberg began using colored pencil in 1987 and hasn’t looked back since. Her sheer love of the medium has led her to write books, found the first monthly colored pencil magazine, create instructional materials and hold hundreds of portrait workshops throughout the US, Canada, Japan, the UK, and on cruises. Ann lives in Seattle, where, in spite of the gloomy skies, she stays sunny by ballroom dancing, eating Indian or Thai food whenever possible, and by interacting daily with her favorite people – colored pencil artists! Colored Pencil - WOW

I recently attended a workshop with Ann Kullberg. She is the greatest!! This book has different artists in it. Each one describes how they executed their piece of work. This book has years of colored pencil experience in it. If you work in colored pencil, you will want this book in your collection!!

Art is great, cheap presentation

The variety of colored pencil art and the descriptions are great but the book I got definitely does not have glossy images. I've bought magazines that are more beautiful than this for half the price.

CP Review

Initially when I received the book I was visually disappointed as it was so small and skinny it looked more like a magazine vs. a book. I decided to give it a fair shake and in reading it I found myself turning pages slowly because I didn't want to get to the end, so that means I liked it :). I loved reading (and viewing) different artists and techniques. I really liked the feel of the book being global in that it included artists from other than USA. Decided this was a keeper. Just wish it was put together and/or resembled a real book. It seems like it is more magazine vs. book.
