Mckenna techniques work for me.

Since I started the Paul Mckenna Techniques, Last year in July, I have been constantly losing weight. on the average of 3-3.5 pounds a month. I have a 12 year old and this is the first time since his birth, I have been successful in losing real weight, not just water weight, without ever going hungry. In fact, the most important part of the program is never getting hungry to the point of getting irritable . According to the research, the number one cause of weight gain in the 1st world countries especially America is dieting, emotional eating the second. But all my life I have been an emotional eater and didn't realize it until mckenna explained it to his readers world wide. We have a billion dollar weight loss industry and we are still the fattest people on earth...why? simply because diets don't work. And his hypnosis techniques are great for calming you down so you don't overeat when stressed. This is not a diet and yes you have heard a lot of diets claiming it's not a diet but any program that restricts you from eating any thing, even a spice or a vegetable is a diet. period. this program lets you eat any thing as long as you like it. It has changed my life for ever, for better..Thanks, Paul Mckenna.
Update:06/07/14... Still losing weight..did not gain back any. Although, the weight loss dropped to a pound a month as I started going to college and didn't have enough time to listen to the CD regularly. Even after a year, you need to listen to the CD at least 3 times a week to keep your motivation up. Back listening to CD. I am writing this update so if you are tired of dieting and emotional eating, please try.

Former Skeptic

This is the third Paul McKenna hypnosis book/cd/dvd I've purchased. While I really believe in the power of hypnosis, I was still skeptical that it would work, long term, on a practical level. It's been two months and it worked for me. I switch between the I Can Make You Thin, Freedom From Emotional Eating, and the Hypnotic Gastric Band cds at night before I go to sleep and it's amazing. I've paired this up with an eating plan that works for me. I'm actually starting to want to be more active (go swimming, walking, etc) and that just wasn't me.
I find I'm also calmer and handle the stresses of my day to day life better. I've been on "diets" before and have been successful, but this time, the weight is coming off and it truly seems effortless (although it's not). My portion sizes are 1/2 of what they used to be and I find myself eating very slowly. I enjoy my food a lot more now and I find I'm not only drawn to foods that are healthy, but that I didn't really consider before. It's odd. The best part for me is that I don't crave sweets...at all! I know this won't be normal for everyone, but for me that's something. When i would go on "diets" before, by the end of the first week, I would want chocolate or berries or something. With this change in my eating habit and the combination of the hypnosis cds, I'm content with a spoonfull of natural peanut butter as "dessert".
This program did for me what it said it would do. It's helped me change my focus to enjoying what I eat, stopping when I'm full, realizing what true fullness feels like, and that I don't have to worry about my next meal because it will be there when I'm ready for it. For you emotional eaters, that's a biggie!
